This past year, following a rigorous two year evaluation process, Idaho Regional Ballet became a member of Regional Dance America (RDA), an organization which promotes the artistic development of regional dance companies throughout the United States. With over two hundred member companies, including more than two dozen nationally recognized professional groups, RDA provides a national identity and support for its regional members. RDA fosters the education and growth of dancers, choreographers, directors and dance companies through regional and national festivals and by affirming the artistic standards of appraisal, evaluation and performance to which all member organizations are held.

As a member of RDA, Idaho Regional Ballet is now considered to be the only pre-professional dance company in Idaho.

In May of 2012, IRB traveled to Montreal to participate in the National Festival and this year they will travel to Phoenix for the RDA/Pacific Festival from April 30th to May 5th. Senior Company members will perform, take master classes and have the opportunity to audition for summer intensive scholarships, as well as for colleges and universities.
